NATION BUILDING IN A MULTI RACIAL SOCIETY

In today's world it is very difficult to find a country or nation that has one race one religion hegemoneity. Israel want to forcefully create a one state one religion nation. But they will not succeed so easily or will never succeed at all. Saudi Arabia try to implement a one religion state. But they also failed.
Strangely, human beings like to identify and associate with the smallest entity possible. Everybody like to be as unique and individualistic as possible. Initiallly they may want to group themselves by the colour of their skin. Black, white, brown, yellow and so on. Then they will probably go by language or religion. Once they associate themselves in these large entity they will futher sub divide themselves in ethnics. linguistics. dilects. sects etc. Each ethnic and sect will claim that they are the best and right in every aspects of arguments. Differences are seldom tolerated voluntarily unless their number become too small or weak in strength physically or financially. Otherwise they will keep stressing and arguing that they are right and divine. Given a choice everybody like to think that heaven is only created only for oneself only and his immediate group only.
After the collapse of mega empires like the British. Roman. Ottoman etc countries start mushrooming based on ideologies or geographical proximity. Leaders start to formulate similarities that can link the various groups. The bonding factors can be very flimsy and abstract in order to organise citizens to suppor t for independence from colonial masters. The ideologies that receive the majority support will form the basis for independence entitlement and right to rule over the masses. If no majority group exist then coalitions are formed with other parties to form a viable entity. Trade offs are made between groups. The weaker groups are forced to accept ideologies from the stronger group either through suppression or bribery on the leaders. Very seldom compromise and tolerences are made based on humanity factors. The poor andown trodden and minorities are often forgotten in the formula for independence. Promises to look into their problems at later stage are often ignored after power has been grabbed.
With the improvement of education and exposure to outside situations and also instigations from outside parties the poor and down trodden started to uprise and demand rights and attentions.
